Something I heard...

I just wanted to share something I heard a child say in Sam's yesterday. When you walk in, there are these giant televisions, and by the giant televisions there was a toy horse. The toy horse went up to my hips and it could move it's head and kinda shake or something. Well, I saw this little girl, roughly age 9, eyeing the horse. She went up to it and then she sat on it. The horse started raising it's head and shaking, and by all accounts it looked like she was having a great time. Her mother came and stood next to her and the little girl looks up with her pleading eyes and says to her mother, "I think we should buy this. Can we buy this horse?" Her mother says, "No." The little girl then tries again, "But I think we should buy this horse." The mother looks at the little girl and says, "You already have a real horse." What happened next made me laugh out loud...the little girl says to her mother, "But I want a toy horse!" It's not enough that you have a real, live, actual horse that you can freaking ride around on and feed it crap, you want a pretend horse that moves its head and shakes. We as humans will never be satisfied with what we have, we only want more. Oh, little selfish girl...ride around on your actual horse and be grateful. There are plenty of kids in this world who would kill to have actual horse...plenty of those kids are starving and they would actually kill that horse to eat it. So, unless you want those other children to kill your horse and eat it, shut up and be happy with what you have!

Packer:
"Hey, Chief, you want a horse?"

Ute Chief:
"What, you no want de horse?"

*Chief raises his katana and walks off screen. Shortly after, we hear the sound of Packer's horse whinny - immediately followed by a loud thump*
